How to Send Your Feed via SRT (Secure Reliable Transport)
SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) allows you to deliver high-quality live video streams with low latency and reliable transmission, even over unstable networks.
Prerequisites
Before starting, ensure that:
- Your SRT server is up and reachable, and that it's network allows the connection
- You have the connection details (Host, Port, Stream ID if required)
Step-by-Step Configuration
1. Access the Publish Section
- Join or create your live production in LiveU Studio
- Open the Publish panel (1) -> Add or edit publishing points (2).
2. Add a Publishing Point
- Select SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) (3).
- Click Add Publishing Point (4).
3. Configure Your SRT Output
Fill in the required fields:

Hostname
- A domain name (e.g.
example.com) - OR an IP address (e.g.
82.68.1.85)
- A domain name (e.g.
- Port
- Stream ID (if applicable)
- Passphrase (if applicable)
- Latency: Set to 80ms by default
4. Assign Audio Routing
- Select one or multiple audio output buses (P1 to P4) -> More info about audio mixing in the dedicated tutorial.
5. Start Streaming
- Click Start Publishing & Record
Validation
Once streaming is started:
- Verify that your feed is correctly received on your SRT server
Troubleshooting
If the stream is not working:
- Check your network configuration and firewall rules
- Double-check all fields (especially Hostname formatting)
- Increase the latency & use an average of 5Mbit/s in output
