The Clean / Dirty Multi-Output feature allows you to send different versions of your production simultaneously by using multiple video outputs.
For example, you can:
- Send a clean feed (without graphics or overlays) to one destination.
- Send a dirty feed (with graphics, lower thirds, logos, etc.) to another destination.
Create a Multi-Output Live Event
To create a live event with multiple outputs:
- Create a new live event.
- In the Video Outputs section, select 2 Outputs.
- (Optional) Customize the output names to make them easier to identify (for example: Clean Feed and Dirty Feed).
- Click Create and open the Control Room.
Assign Layers to Outputs
You can choose which output(s) each layer is sent to.
To change the output assignment for a layer:
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) on the layer.
- Select Change Output.
- Choose the output(s) where the layer should appear.
For example:
- Send overlays and graphics only to Output 1 (Dirty Feed).
- Send video-only content to Output 2 (Clean Feed).
Each layer includes a colored icon indicating which output(s) it is assigned to.
Program Preview Behavior
The Studio Program monitor always displays Output 1.
To monitor Output 2, you can:
- Use the RTMP Output Recording URL and open it in a player such as VLC.
- Use the Multiview to preview additional outputs.
Rename Outputs
You can rename outputs at any time to make routing easier to understand.
Option 1: During Event Creation
Edit the output names directly when creating the event.
Option 2: From Studio Settings
Open the top-right Settings menu and edit the output names.
Option 3: From Live Settings
Go to Live Settings in the left-side menu and update the output names.
Select the Output for Publishing Destinations
Each publishing destination can be assigned to a specific video output.
To configure this:
- Add or edit a Publishing Destination.
- In the Video Output dropdown, select the desired output.
- Save your changes.
- Start publishing.
This allows different destinations to receive different versions of the same production.
