LiveU Studio has recently introduced a powerful feature designed to streamline your workflow: Red/Green Areas for Input Management. This feature allows you to assign inputs directly to the preview or program with just one click, right from the input tiles. Additionally, you can assign a transition to a specific input and execute both the transition and the input switch simultaneously. Here’s how to make the most of this new capability.

Enable the Porgram/Preview areas on Inputs

1. Switching Inputs Using the Red/Green Areas

To switch an input using the Red/Green Areas:

1. Hover over the desired input tile. You'll see that the tile is split into two distinct color-coded halves.
2. Click on the Green Area (left side) to send the input to the preview window.
3. Click on the Red Area (right side) to send the input directly to the program output, making it live instantly.

This setup allows for swift input management, ideal for dynamic live productions where quick decisions are critical.

2. Assigning Transitions to Input Switches

One of the key advantages of this feature is the ability to combine input switching with transitions:

1. Select an Input Tile: Identify the input you want to transition to.
2. Assign a Transition: Righ click on the input, assign a transition (like a fade, cut, etc) that you want to apply when switching.
3. Click on the Red Area: When you click on the red area of the input tile, the assigned transition will automatically play as the input switches to the program output.

This means you can execute a smooth transition and an input switch with a single click, simplifying the process and ensuring professional-quality transitions during live broadcasts.
