Publishing from one Studio project to another one

Publishing the PGM feed from one studio to another can be beneficial for various reasons, including multilanguage broadcasting, 24/7 News Channels, cost efficiency, adding different graphics and extending content reach.

How?

Depending on the protocol you want to use :
  • Open your sub-project (second studio account from where you want to receive the main PGM feed) (1).
  • In the Production (2) -> Add a new Input (3).

  • In the Live Sources section (4) -> Select "Assign LRT flow" (5).

  • Select one channel in the list. (ST01_12203_eu-irl in my example).

  • Enable the ST (LRT) Channel in the Studio & Start the Test phase to inititate the LRT Channel creation.

  • Go to your main project from where you want to send the PGM stream from.
  • Check that you're in testing phase.
  • In the Publish menu (6) -> Add a new destination point (7).

  • In the LRT section -> select the ST LRT Channel added ealier on your sub account from the list or by clicking on "add publishing point". 

  • Start publishing & recording.

  • Open you sub-account in another tab to see the feed coming in from the main control room using LRT.

 

 

 

SRT

  • Open your sub-project (second studio account from where you want to receive the main PGM feed) (1).
  • In the Production (2) -> Add a new Input (3).

  • In the Live Sources section (4) -> Encoder (Push) SRT (5).

  • Copy the provided URL & Stream key.

  • Go to your main project from where you want to send the PGM stream from.
  • Check that you're in Testing phase.
  • In the Publish menu (6) -> Add a new destination point (7).

  • SRT Section -> Add a publishing point.

  • Paste the Server URL & Stream key provided earlier.

  • Select the destination point & Start publishing.

That's it, your feed is received in the sub-account in SRT.

 

 

RTMP

  • Open your sub-project (second studio account from where you want to receive the main PGM feed) (1).
  • In the Production (2) -> Add a new Input (3).

  • In the Live Sources section (4) -> Encoder (Push) RTMP(5).

  • Copy the provided URL & Stream key.

  • Go to your main project from where you want to send the PGM stream from.
  • Check that you're in Testing phase.
  • In the Publish menu (6) -> Add a new destination point (7).

  • Custom RTMP Section -> Add a publishing point.

  • Paste your server URL & Stream Key.

  • Select the destinaiton point and Start publishing & record.

That's it! You're streaming from your main project to Studio 1 subproject.
