Welcome to LiveU Studio's Chat Feature — your dedicated space for seamless collaboration, whether you're working with fellow operators in the same control room or engaging with remote guests. In this tutorial, we'll explore how to leverage the chat tool effectively to enhance communication during your events.
Getting Started
To access the Chat Feature, ensure that your event is in either the "testing" or "publishing" phase, and there are already some guests or operators connected.
Group vs Discussion Chat
Group: Group chat is a shared space where all operators and remote guests connected to the event can communicate. It's a dynamic hub for real-time discussions, updates, and coordination. To participate, simply type your message in the group chat, fostering a collaborative environment for everyone involved.
Discussions: This allows you to initiate private conversations with a specific guest or operator. Think of it as having a private chat room within the broader event, enabling focused discussions without noise from the group chat.
Steps to Use

- Navigate to the Chat (1) tab within LiveU Studio (top right corner).
- Ensure your event is in "testing" or "publishing" mode with connected guests/operators (2).
