Customers can now use LiveU Central Inventory & Groups as a user management tool for LiveU Studio projects. Each LiveU Studio project can be assigned a LiveU Central group (or multiple groups). When a project has LiveU Groups associated with it, only users within that group may access the the project.
Users and encoders/decoders are managed via the LiveU Central Groups associated to a Studio project.
Give a LUC user access to my studio
Please note that you need to be an Admin on the account to manage your account.
If you are not an admin, please contact your LUC account administrator.
- Go to your LiveU Studio account management tab (1&2).
- In the Groups section you can add any LUC groups you belong to (onlypossible with groups from the same inventory).
Please note that all users from this LUC group will be able to connect to your Studio project.
Give a non-LUC user access to my studio
Please note that you need to be an Admin on the account to manage your account.
If you are not an admin, please contact your account administrator.
- Go to your LiveU Studio account management tab (1&2).
- In the Groups section -> Show users (3) -> Add a non-LUC user (4) -> fill in the mail address you want to add and save (5).
- An email has been sent and the collaborator who has been invited, he needs to accept the invitation.
- He will then be able to connect to Studio from LiveU Central.

- Go to your LiveU Studio account management tab (1&2).
- Click on Show users (3).
Manage my users' authorizations/rights.
To manage their permissions you need to change them directly in LUC.
- Change the User Type to Admin or Regular
- Admin: Will be able to manage people, add Users and/or LUC Groups, can see the usage tracking.
- Regular: Will not have acces to the users/Groups and Usage tracking management panel.
- Studio: Will only have access to Studio service from LUC.
Please note that giving access to a project (even as administrator) does not mean giving access to all sub-accounts.
