Our new external window feature for Replay allow you or a dedicated replay/clipping operator to create clips from different camera angles on the fly.
-
Enable the Replay Option
- Start by accessing the settings panel for each input (camera feed) that you want to use for instant replays.
- Within the settings panel (1), you will find an option labeled "Replay." (2) Make sure to enable this option for all inputs you want to display in the replay tab.
- To ensure a perfect replay from multiple angles, and if your feeds are including SEI timecodes, make sure the Framesync option is enabled.
-
Begin the Testing Phase (3)
- Once the replay option is enabled for your selected inputs, start the testing phase within LiveU Studio. This phase allows you to access the replay tab and ensure everything is set up correctly.
-
Add a Replay Player Input
- Add a replay player input to your LiveU Studio setup. This input will be used to manage and display the replays during your broadcast.
Select the number of player/angle you want to add and assign them a live source.
- Start your live feeds
-
Open the Replay Player Tab (1&2).
- Navigate to the external replay player tab within LiveU Studio. This tab provides a dedicated interface for managing your replays, including selecting which camera angles to use and adjusting playback settings.
Create clips from the Replay/ISO record.
- Select the camera angle you want to create a clip from.
- Set the wished mark In & Mark out point
- Click on Make clip
- The clip will appear in the Replay section clip list & in the Media bin.

- Loaded/played in the Replay player
- Edited post production (you have a 1 min guardband before and after the selected time range)
- Switch your current clip angle to another angle easily using the A to D icon (any change done on the virtual clip will be applied on the media bin clip too, if needed, download your 1st angle clip before switching angles).
